Temporary traffic lights causing long delays

Temporary traffic lights at the junction of Kennington Park Road and Newington Butts are once again causing long queues for traffic. The queue of idling northbound traffic on Kennington Park Road stretches back to Kennington Park. This same issue was reporting by someone else a few days ago and the report is marked as "fixed". It isn't "fixed", it's still causing unnecessary delays and increasing air pollution.

  • These temporary traffic lights are causing serious delays on Kennington Lane - all the way down to the Vauxhall end in peak times; Kennington Park Road, Newington Butts and Walworth Road. The priority on the lights is all wrong. Northbound and Southbound Kennington Park Road traffic should be green at the same time. Northbound Kennington Lane traffic and Southbound Newington Butts traffic in the right lane should also be green at the same time. Please rectify this ASAP

The above works have since been completed, but we will address your issues raised with our contractors.
