Crack in the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 20:31, Tue 20 April 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2682536.

There is a crack in the pavement slab that allows water to escape into the basement of my premises 168 Stoke Newington Road N16 7UY. We have experienced some signs of damp for a while and have used a dehumidifier in the last 18 months prior to COVID. However on the 24th March upon visiting the premises part of the ceiling in our basement collapsed. We done some investigations and discovered when we poured water into the crack on the pavement it disappears into our basement. We have a video demonstrating this and also have photos of the damage done. All of these we have sent to our insurance company as the damage needs to be repaired asap in order for us to reopen and follow social distances rules. These images and video can be sent to you.
