Westbound traffic lights not working properly

Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 06:16, Thu 22 April 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2684722.

The traffic lights on the westbound carriageway (towards sainsburys) just before the junction with Manor Grove appear to be malfunctioning.

I believe this is meant to be a pedestrian-operated crossing. There are 4 pedestrian controls and all of them are permanently illuminated with the WAIT sign, so pressing the button appears to have no effect. At least 1 of them does not stop the traffic either (but I don't have time to stand around and test all of them).

The lights turn to red around every 2 minutes even when nobody has pressed the pedestrian button and nobody is waiting to cross, which forces vehicles to stop unnecessarily (increasing pollution).

As a pedestrian, if the traffic has been stopped when nobody wanted to cross, then when I arrive and want to cross I have to wait 2 minutes (being exposed to pollution) until the cycle resets.
