Traffic standstill pollution

Reported via desktop in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 09:18, Wednesday 5 May 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2707366.

Hi, there is a problem with the timing of the traffic light in Hackney Road crossing into Columbia road. The traffic light is not marked on the map but I pinned the location. The green light timing is way too short and this create congestion and pollution. The traffic is litterally at a standstill from there to Cambridge Heat in both directions. It needs to be timed better and in sync with the traffic light at down the road at the junction with Queensbridge Rd. I am a resident and take both my children to and from school everyday and the air in unbreathable near that spot. I know it is badly affecting other families and children who go to school with mine in Columbia road. Past Queensbridge road junction there is no traffic jams in either direction in Hackney road so those two traffic lights must be the problem. Can you please help? I should be an easy fix and could help many residents. Thank you very much for your help
