The timings of the traffic light sequence have been changed to shorter durations at the junction between Charteris Road and Broadmead Road. This results in long queues of traffic in Broadmead Road which is both an inconvenience to local residents and an air pollution issue.

Long queues of traffic continue on Broadmead Road due to short and random traffic light sequence.changes at the junction with Charteris Road. Green signal is longer for Charteris Road which has much lower volumes of traffic than Broadmead Road. Green signal on Broadmead Road is only 7 seconds which results in long queues of traffic.

We have lived at no 51 broadmead rd woodford green essex IG8 0AT for over 30 years and have never experienced the traffic which has built up over the last 2-3 weeks. the lights when on red are onlu mallowing 4 cars to pass which means a never endending queue of traffic outside .this is polluting the air .it is non stop all day long. we are used to ther usual peak times but this is unbearable now..

The lights are green on Broadmead for about 7 seconds but on the side road Chatteris the time is abt 13 seconds. Access to my home at 53 Broadmead has become difficult due to at certain times morning and evening long queues of traffic. The timings need to be corrected as soon as possible before frustrated drivers cause an accident.

Monday 14/6/21 10am. the usual peak time rush hour traffic would normally subsided by now. but for the past 3 weeks the traffic light sequence is now only 3 or 4 cars to pass these lights from broadmead rd over the junction with charteris rd. this has resulted in a lo9ng long queue of traffic ALL DAY LONG . this has now become a health hazard due to the constant exhaust fumes outside our house no.51 broadmead rd. PLEASE PLEASE put the sequence back to how it has been for the past 30 years.

A complaint- The phasing of the traffic lights at Broadmead Road and Charteris Road are dreadful causing long delays in Broadmead Road. The phase for Charteris Road appears to have been lengthened disproportionately for the amount of traffic in the road. It is the minor road whereas Broadmead Road is the main road and should have priority. I use the road a fair bit and recently it has taken two or three phases to get through the junction- on average only 4 cars can get through the green light phase for Broadmead Road going up the hill before it turns to red which is ridiculous. This causes the traffic to build up quite unnecessarily. This afternoon going down the hill was just as bad. The green phase for Charteris Road went on and on and on with no cars crossing the junction. Action- sort this out as soon as possible to let the traffic flow properly like it used to. Can’t believe you have had several complaints on the same issue for over a month and nothing has been done about sorting it. This is unacceptable..
