Traffic light crossing sound very loud
Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 22:35, Tue 11 May 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2720424.
Hi there, many residents in our building are experiencing issues with the sound of the pedestrian crossing across the crossroads across Hermitage Road and across Green Lanes being far too loud and being an audible nuisance inside residences. Please can this be switched to silent - other local crossings such as the busy crossroads at Manor House station are silent. As this is a residential area this crossing should be made silent too. My neighbour has also complained about this too but looks like it has not been dealt with. Thank you.
I've still not recieved an update on this issue - it has been reported a number of times and hasn't been addressed yet.
Can someone please look into switching the sound off on this crossing - this is causing a real nuisance night and day and the repeat sound is causing a damaging effect on the mental health for residents as pits preventing sleep in tne evenings and for shift workers and its also a constant nuisance during the day.
Please can you arrange for the crossing alert sound to be turned off across these 2 pedestrain crossings.
