Restaurant waste tipping daily -blocking more than half of the road
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Overcrowding category anonymously at 10:43, Wed 26 May 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2750144.
Since restaurants and bars are allowed to fully reopen a week or so ago - there's a massive pile of rubbish left on this junction/cross road all day - everyday, containing uncooked raw meat, broken bottles, and other food rubbish. They don't get picked up and are left at the corner of the road all day long. There is often so many bags of rubbish that half the pavement is blocked. Bin bags with raw meat are often being chewed opened (by foxes at night?). Raw meat and bones, as well as broken bottles, are being spilled out onto the road, it's pretty gross. It's not only highly unhygienic but also dangerous. Yesterday a bottle rolled into the traffic, a car drove over it and the bottle exploded - everyone waiting at the traffic light was so shocked - luckily the smashed broken glass missed everyone! :(
