Traffic light noise & frequency
Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 19:22, Tue 8 June 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2778043.
The Maple Rd / Surbiton Crescent pedestrian crossings have become very noisy when indicating pedestrians can cross. It goes off all day regardless of there being pedestrians and whilst it never used to be audible it now goes off every few minutes and more recently every minute. None of the other crossings on that same road or in the vicinity make any noise at all, in fact you can clearly hear the noise at the other two crossings on Maple Rd which could be misleading for those intending to cross at either of these. As it causes disturbance in residential properties, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please turn the volume down (off like the other lights if possible) and reduce the frequency to give people a bit of peace in their homes.
