Surface water drain cover is rocking
Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 08:39, Sat 12 June 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2786530.
Metal grid drain cover is loose and rocking. Drain is positioned just past the bus stop outside Rosslyn Park Rugby Ground and is just beyond the three manhole covers which were recently repaired by Thames Water on the Northbound side of Roehampton Lane. It makes a very loud noise when driven over by vehicles approaching the Upper Richmond Road. This problem has been ongoing for several years and, despite being previously repaired, keeps on returning.

A week or so ago, Thames Water were present at the location of the rocking drain cover and the next day, when traffic drove over the site, there was no noise and the problem appeared to have been resolved. However, after a couple of days, the cover was once again loose and noisy, exactly the same as before. So, the problem remains unresolved and ongoing.
