Wait button not working

Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 09:51, Sunday 20 June 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2804909.

Why do you keep marking my reports as duplicates and then closing them when you have not fixed the problem or looked at the earlier reports. Look at the history at this site. It is clearly an ongoing and probably intermittent problem with the pedestrian crossing button coastbound.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fault with the pedestrian wait button. We have therefore referred this to our contractors and it will be fixed within 28 days. Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer

  • Oh so there is a fault then! Just as well I persevered after you ignored my FOUR reports yesterday. No wonder people have little faith in TfL. Incidentally, I tried it again today and it didn't work on the first attempt, but then worked OK on the second. So, like I said, intermittent contact fault on the button by the looks of things.
