Manhole cover at bus stop KP on Kennington Road is rocking

The manhole cover on the west side of the Kennington Road (left side if you face north) at bus stop KP (Windmill Row to Waterloo/Westminster) is rocking. It is a bus stop on a busy road used to skirt the C/ULEZ zones so traffic is often heavy and every bus hits the cover. An adjacent second cover may also be loose, or a double bang occurs when both bus wheels hit. It seems louder for 2wks, I have heard it for months but never knew the source.

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.
