Please see below report about standing water in pot hole, this was reported recently on 18/6/21, another temporary cold lay patch was done on 19/6/21, this patch lasted about 48-72 hours before just falling apart and now this standing water & pot hole is entirely back, the hole is completely empty of the repair material and the material splattered down the pavement. Today I opened my door whilst standing inside my own property, my leg was soaked by water splashed from a lorry discharging the entire pot hole puddle, it is not acceptable for any amount of time for the INSIDE of my house to be splattered with water and tar covered grit, see photo. A permanent repair is supposed to take place within 6 weeks but this temp repair is unsuitable and gone, this has been going on for years and needs to be permanently repaired as a matter of priority for reasons of above and below & safety for cyclists, pedestrians and stop property damage. Please also note the repair 6 months previous which also failed, did not cover all of the original depression, the area needs to be cut out one meter further along towards neighbouring driveway direction so that any permanent repair is not subject to being dropped onto by HGV and buses. Original report: At this spot outside 424/422 Archway Road N6 4JH, a pot hole is forming a big pool of water which combined with lorries and just normal cars that drive so close to curb are throwing up large amounts of water when raining , soaking pedestrians and soaking the door and properties. This pot hole was partly fixed in Nov 2020 about 6/7 months ago, but the entire depression wasn’t quite cut out and the edges were not sealed meaning HGV and cars were dropping onto the repair and water frost blew out this repair in about 3 months, it has been getting worse, was patched but with the heavy traffic that has gone, now it is pooling water and unacceptably making pedestrian soaked and property soaked. This fault in the road has been an issue for last 2-3 years, I complained years ago, nothing done, then it got worse and a repair was made but it wasn’t of a sufficient standard and is worse. Please can this entire depression be repaired with a heavy duty hot lay surface that is suitable for the extreme traffic and can the entire depression be levelled back one meter to include the start of the sunken area so the drop of cars doesn’t weaken the repaired road. Thank you.
