Noisy drain cover

Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 16:41, Wednesday 4 August 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2914512.

Drain cover in the road in front of 28 Catford Hill, just before the traffic lights joining Stanstead Road going eastbound, has broken and makes deafening noise every time traffic, especially buses & lorries drive over it. Been getting worse for the last couple of weeks & is preventing residents in the local area from sleeping. I’ve noticed people are putting carpet, sand, traffic cones etc on top of it, which will only end up clogging up the drain and causing worse problems and accidents. It’s broken in the past, please fix in a more long lasting way! Highways inspector at Lewisham council advised that this is for TFL.
