Damaged Tree has not been replaced
Reported via desktop in the Damage - general (Trees) category anonymously at 21:28, Mon 9 August 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2925428.
Ref: 15811240; TfL ref: FMS2854229. Further to the above case, the contractors have not replaced the tree, but have instead slabbed over the location of the damaged tree. Email from Kristina Stasiukevic on 4th August confirmed that the damaged tree was removed and an order was raised to plant a new tree. However, it seems the contractors have not followed this order. I'm sure you would agree it is important that this tree is replaced, particularly given TfL and the GLA's recognition of the importance of street trees, in improving biodiversity and ecological resilience, improving air quality, and creating healthy streets. I look forward to hearing from you, and to the missing tree being replaced. I trust this will be resolved swiftly. King regards, Philip Edwards
