Trees Felled without Consultation

My is Lauren Boyce, I live in Islington in a street just off Tollington Road. I've noticed recently 3 trees have been cut down just near my house on Tollington Road which I understand from Jon at the Islington tree service is TFL land. I'd like to enquire as to the reason these trees have been removed as it is already a highly polluted area according to the recent air quality surveys. It's really disappointing that there was no notice or consultation on the decision with local residents as it is sure to have a negative impact on health. 9400 premature deaths are attributed to poor air quality in London each year and cost the NHS significantly. I have attached an image for your reference and look forward to hearing your response.
