Traffic light doesn't sense vehicles turning north

Reported via desktop in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 16:23, Friday 20 August 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2948551.

Many people have described a problem with the traffic lights from St Albans Rd stuck on red. You claim to have fixed it. There appears to be no sensor on the branch of the lights turning left from St Albans Road into the High St. If 2 cars in a row at the front of the queue are trying to turn left, no car is sensed. I have managed to force a change when I'm the second car by driving alongside the first car as if I was going to turn right. If the person at the front doesn't know of this quirk, the queue builds up until someone braves going through at red.
