Beeston Pl light fails to detect cyclists
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 11:51, Sun 29 August 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2965449.
The westbound signal on Beeston Pl include a cycle signal. When these lights were timed out worked well. Since the upgrade to motion sensors in 2020 the signal has not once detected me on my bicycle no matter where I positioned myself (eg at the bike light or in the main lane).
Currently there is no sensor on the left signal where bicycles typically wait.
A push-to-cross button would be effective of a sensor cannot be installed
