The wait button isn't working at the location marked in red in the photo
Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 17:52, Thu 9 September 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2991036.
The button on the side shown in the photo with the red circle is not working. I'm not sure when the issue started, but I have noticed it since Monday when children went back to school. When children from the local school finish classes, they can't cross the road easily due to this problem. Many children are trying to run across the road and dodge cars to be able to cross, so it is very hazardous due to the large amount of traffic on the road at school pick up time.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fault with the pedestrian wait button. We have therefore referred this to our contractors and it will be fixed within 28 days. Should you need anything else or have any questions, you may wish to contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234
Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer
