There are no markings and it is not apparent which lane is for what
Reported via mobile in the Worn out road markings category by Dom Wiffen at 23:52, Thu 7 October 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3049069.
The a12 westbound junction with the redbridge roundabout has no markings.
It's not at all clear which lane should be used for entry into the roundabout when continuing on the a12.
The spacing/markings when actually on the roundabout seem to indicate that L1 is left only (onto A406) but not all cars do this which creates conflict - there are multiple near misses, I probably witness 1 every time I am on it.
Markings would help give clarity to road users. The most sensible would be: 1) left (a406) and ahead (a12 continuation) 2) ahead (a12 only) 3) right only (various other exits)
This would alleviate congestion as well as make the roads safer.
