No road works warning

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3054964.
I have been aware of Southbound queues on Falloden Way since saturday without any idea as to why.Today i found out that there are roadworks being carried out.I came back from shopping at Brent Cross.I turned left from Addison Way togo Northbound on the A1 tonturn right to get to my home in Connaught Drive. Two cars fed up with queing emerged from the southbound carriage way on to the wrong side of the road coming within a few yards of me before going onto the inside Northbound lane to turn right onto Falloden Way. There must be warning signs at all junctions at Henleys Corner and on the fork dividing the A1 from the A406. I believe that the works are to renew sewage pipes. The contractors are clearly in breach of their obligations. Will you please ensure that the contractors put up these signs today before there is a serious accident.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This will now be investigated by our team and we will aim to update on progress within 10 days. If the issue you have reported is an emergency, we will aim to update you on progress within 24 hours

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. Thank you for addressing these concerns with us. We have now requested TWU to have marshals patrolling the worksite to ensure there is more high Vis workers visible around the work site, hopefully deterring any illegal manoeuvres.
With regards to advance warning, I have cited several locations where I believe this may be beneficial for road users, • A406 Henlys Corner (Eastbound traffic) – centre Island • A406 j/w A1 Falloden (Westbound traffic) • Finchley Rd (both Northbound and Southbound) This will now at least allow road users to be aware of the oncoming traffic and allow them to make their own judgement call on whether to take alternative routes. Again, many thanks for raising these concerns with TfL. We are anticipating another weeks’ worth of works, but have requested extended working hours and Mon-Sun working to ensure this completed as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience caused to your journey. TfL
