Deformity in road surface

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (minor) category anonymously at 17:31, Saturday 16 October 2021

Sent to TfL 8 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS3066374.

I was cycling along the northbound cycle lane on Lambeth Palace Road, just south of St Thomas’ Hospital, at dusk (with lights) a few days ago when I encountered some sort of deformity in the road surface. The road surface defect must have been quite substantial, as there was a tremendous bang as I cycled over it, rupturing both tyres of my bicycle. I was nearly thrown off the bike and had to walk for the remainder of my journey. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before in ten years of fairly frequent road cycling. I would be very grateful if you could investigate the road surface here and fix the issue so that other cyclists are not endangered in the same way
