Cyclists and eScooter riders speeding on pavement
Reported via desktop in the Pavement Overcrowding category anonymously at 11:46, Mon 18 October 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3069119.
Unlike many parts of the A316, the section of the A316 which passes houses number 30 to 80 Burlington Lane is not shared use and there are mandatory cycle lanes in both directions. However, despite this cyclists and increasingly eScooter riders speed down this section of the street often within a metre or less of garden gates causing a real risk of injury to residents exiting their houses. This has increased over time and has now become a real and significant problem. I ask that TfL improve the signage along this part of the street making it clear to cyclists and eScooter riders that they are not permitted to ride on the pavement past houses 30 to 80 Burlington Lane.
