Escalation requested: Underpass steps not in safe working order. No remedy in years.

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 13:52, Tue 19 October 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3071865.

Reported in 2018 here, but problem has not been rectified in the interim: report/ 1441950

The steps have multiple loose components, are unevenly spaced, and have protruding screen, constituting a serious trip hazard.

I recently caught a toddler falling from these steps: he'd been tripped by a loose section.

There is serious negligence in the non-maintenance of this busy pedestrian stairway. A complete overhaul of the stair surface is needed. Request this be escalated to senior contacts in all responsible stakeholder organisations.
