Traffic impact

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 15:20, Thursday 21 October 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3076715.

It took one hour yesterday afternoon to go just 0.7 miles from the M1 junction onto Edgware Way to the temporary traffic signals. There were 4 lanes of traffic merging into one lane with temporary traffic lights placed just 400 yards afterwards. The whole of Stanmore and surrounding area was completely gridlocked. It is just ridiculous. There is no signage or any warnings until you are stuck in the middle of stationary traffic. An absolute disgrace with no care for people trying to get home from work or on their way to appointments.
