Very high temporary cover
Reported via iOS in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 16:23, Sat 23 October 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3080118.
There has been a temporary plastic cover in the middle of the pavement for weeks now. It several inches higher than the pavement. The tarmac ramped edges are still very dangerous. What is the purpose of the hole? Whey has it not been correctly seated at ground level? When will it be repaired properly? I can foresee a nasty accident there shortly when somebody trips over it and breaks a bone or two. You have been warned - get it fixed.
