Updates

  • Speed camera constantly going off even in barely moving traffic. Its like a disco in my flat. At this rate, Tower Hamlets council will have made a few million £ this evening alone. Please sort as highly annoying and disruptive when WFH not to mention when trying to sleep.

  • The speed camera around 285 Commercial Road is constantly flashing. My concern is it may be issuing unnecessary tickets.

  • Still flashing at about 8:30am. At 6am this morning it was very distracting, firing flashing lights repeatedly down the road like a strobe light. Has clearly been reported multiple times through this website and via Twitter. We also reported it to the Met on 101. Someone will have a crash, with pedestrians and cyclists most at risk because drivers are distracted, particularly when traffic is busy and the night draws in early. Please get it fixed!

  • The speed camera on commercial rd, London e1 is constantly flashing and has been for the past 2 days, it’s extremely difficult to sleep as the flash comes into our flat, it shouldn’t take that long to fix it, it’s been disturbing our sleep for the past 2 nights

  • The nature of this constant and fast frequency flashing is not just irritating and distracting for safety of pedestrian and vehicles on this road but as it's right in the sightline of flats all through the day and night during this period of lockdown/ wfh it's a safety issue for us!

I can't sleep, I can't concentrate at work and I know neighbours with Photosensitive epilepsy who are getting increasingly distressed!

Just FIX IT immediately! Or turn it off!

We should be able to live in our homes in peace! Sort it out!

  • 28 days of constant flashing! How is that non-urgent?That's really not good enough. Why not just switch it off until you can get it fixed?
