The manholes have not been fixed
Reported via mobile in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 21:53, Sun 14 November 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3123404.
The same issue is happening with these manhole covers. The previous report has been marked as fixed and I can see this issue has been reported many times. Some tarmac has been layed over one of the covers but there are three others that are still banging every time a car passes over. Please can these covers be properly fixed - it is incredibly disturbing and noisy, particularly at night. It is a constant banging.
The manhole covers in question are directly at the junction of Bromley Street and Commercial Road. There are three on the west bound side - one has been covered in tarmac. And one further cover on the east bound side which also bangs. I’ve moved here in June this year and this is my third time reporting the issue. I can see that it has been reported several times over the past few years.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors.
