Cyclist detection

Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 18:11, Wed 17 November 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3129627.

The traffic lights at the A3211 & Puddle Dock junction have a fault. The sensor for the cycle lane that approaches alongside the A3211 from the west does not function correctly when there is only a single cyclist just before the stop line. This is not normally an issue, as cyclist approaching from the east trigger the lights. But during non busy times a law abiding cyclists could be stuck there for 5 or more minutes. I was there for 3 mins (3 whole light cycles) before I gave up and changed to the car lane. I have a video of this if you'd like?

  • No sure why the road in Cannon St is being dug up again. It was dug up few weeks back causing traffic congestion and delays getting to London Bridge. Mr Mayor who is managing this works. There is no consideration to safety or timings of works. Tax payers money is being wasted digging roads up again and again.
