Low hanging steel on bus stop
Reported via mobile in the Damage - other (bus stops and shelters) category by Peter Hall at 20:11, Tue 23 November 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3140229.
At 16.12 this afternoon I bashed my head on a low hanging steel bar at this bus stop. The bar is approx 6ft 2inch height and being 6ft 4 inch I hit it with considerable force whereby the whole bus stop shook and I nearly knocked myself out. I have concussion and a nasty bump to my head.It is far too low and extremely dangerous. The pavement is shallow so tall people will have to duck or walk roadside on the A24 to get by. I am sure there must be regulations and perhaps 5% of the population will bump their head on the low bar.
