Traffic light stuck on red during heavy traffic

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 19:31, Sat 4 December 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3160175.

The lights going on to Jamaica road from West Lane and Southwark Park road get stuck on red when there is congestion. I have observed that this might be due to the lack of traffic movement does not trigger the lights motion sensor.

As a result Southwark Park Road and West Lane both back up to stand still traffic on a regular basis. West Lane, where I live, is now plagued by the constant drone of horns from frustrated drivers stuck at the red lights.

Please can you come and observe this problem and see what you can do to resolve it?

It’s normally the worst between Weds to Saturday 15:00 to 19:00.

That photo was taken at 19:00 on Saturday.

Thank you in advance
