Motion sensor not working
Reported via mobile in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 10:53, Thu 9 December 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3169106.
The motion sensor doesn't detect people standing waiting for the lights to change and cancels the request. The only way to be sure to get the green man to come seems to be to constantly dance/wave hands at the sensor. This results in long waits for pedestrians and even on occasion people dashing across the road despite still moving traffic. This was reported in April and noted as fixed but seems no better now than it always was.
