The new set of traffic lights beep extremely loudly and frequently
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 17:38, Thu 16 December 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3184545.
The new pedestrian crossings at the corner of York Way and Copenhagen Street beeps extremely loudly at all times even when no one is crossing.
It's within 2 meters of bedrooms on the north-east and south-west sides of the junction, and it has been severely disruptive to local residents and their ability to sleep.
Please reduce the time and volume of these crossings.
Thank you.

The beeping is extremely loud and is disruptive to residences. I live next to the crossing and have not had an issue till the new lights were put up last week.
The sound pierces through my double gaze windows and can even be heard through noise cancelling headphones. It is extremely disruptive as I do night shift work from time to time and need to sleep in the day.
Could you please look to turn it down by at least 50%. I'm sure at that level it will still be very audible to pedestrians.
