Unbelievable congestion

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3187811.

Who is responsible for putting lights at these road works and reducing the whole area to absolute misery and chaos. No works are going on . A 5 minute journey has taken us 1hr , How is this allowed causing unbelievable congestion and pollution.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. These works only have lane restrictions on A316 and there are no temporary signals involved on this carriageway. The only temporary signals are on Bear Road to allow a safe place to cross for pedestrians (these are push to cross) so wouldn’t be causing this amount of congestion.

    There are elements of the works which look as though they have no activity taking place, however overnight, curing is taking place as these are bridge refurbishment works. We have checked CCTV and we have no reports of lengthy delays here.
