Directions straight on and turn left on mindbogglingly confusing – as noted by the number of horns beeping
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 10:36, Tue 4 January 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3214163.
Someone in their infinite wisdom has decided that Travelling from Aldwych when you get to the lights in order to go straight ahead across Waterloo Bridge you have to obey the left turn lights, and to go right into the Strand you have to follow the straightahead lights. There is obviously no right turn into the cycle lane, I’m, because it’s a cycle lane and inaccessible to vehicles.
The signs and lights must be changed to reflect what every driver understands to be straight across onto Waterloo Bridge and right onto the Strand. It may be lovely and official to follow DFT regulations to do what you’ve done, but in real life it is a complete and utter balls up.
Thank you so much
