Reported via desktop in the Flooding category anonymously at 11:13, Wednesday 5 January 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later.
TfL ref: FMS3217221.
Failure of Tfl to do routine maintenance has lead to blocked drains and flooding across the carriageway. On one occasion the flooding reached from curb to curb and standing water covered the pavement. It used to be common to see the drains cleaned by a lorry with "an elephantine vacuum hose" to remove leaves, litter and sludge. Why is this no longer carried out?
