Countdown unit not working

Reported via desktop in the Damage - other (bus stops and shelters) category anonymously at 08:59, Friday 21 January 2022

Sent to TfL 1 hour, 5 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS3256236.

I am reporting this problem as my attempts have met with both failure and lack of action. This relates to the bus information display inside the shelter outside the Catford Bridge Tavern pub, at Catford Bridge station. The bus stop reference shown is 47769.

This display sign stopped working in summer 2020 when there were traffic light replacements being undertaken at the Thomas Lane /A205/Canadian avenue junction, perhaps just a coincidence but more probably a severing of communication or power supply cables.

As no repairs had been undertaken for nearly a year and there being no display outside the next, Theatre bus stop to assist passengers I contacted TFL using your automatic on-line system. I was surprised to get a response within a Month informing me that the problem had been rectified but when I found that the display was still not working and looked in detail, the display they reported as being fixed was on the other side of London.

I then manage to speak with somebody and in a lengthy conversation about the problem and was told that this would be reported to the Lewisham repair office. This was over three Months ago and obviously nothing has happened as the display is still blank.

Can I ask if you would please look into this problem for the good of bus passengers. It is very frustating not to know when buses are due, especially at this bus stop serving both Catford and Catford Bridge stations.
