Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 14:17, Sat 29 January 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3274447.
This manhole cover has caused a noise day and night since last year. It's been reported a few times since August 2021. It's causing a disturbance and loss of sleep for me and my neighbours. The NOISE goes on day and night as every time a vehicle drives over it we hear the clanking noise. After midnight last night we saw a lorry with a flashing light parked beside the damaged cover, and then we heard road works and presumed the cover was being repaired. This morning the cover was cranking again, I went out and looked at it and I think some work had been done around it, (as there were two white lines sprayed on the kerb either side of the cover)? If this was only a temporary repair it hasn't worked, Please can it be fixed properly as soon as possible. Thank you
