To whom it may concern
I am writing in regards to the traffic and road works in Finsbury park. road name is Seven sisters just before this Finsbury Park bridge there is some water Thames work taking place. I am having to travel from Camden Street NW1 0HY to a tuition place in Finsbury Park my normal travel takes about 20-30 minutes with traffic. with this water work I am absolutely flabbergasted absolutely in so much anger that my journey takes over an hour to get from my postcode to Finsbury Park tuition center I am absolutely angry annoyed frustrated that this kind of time has taken a toll on fuel efficiency has taken a toll on my health my child’s mental health this is not on it’s horrendous it’s absolutely horrendous I have a six year old that I have to take to tuition three days a week and he has to be in the car for that long after school is just not on I am complaining because it’s costing me and it’s taking a toll on my health my mental health because we are stuck stuck in traffic over an hour . A 11 minutes drive has now become over an hours journey it is not on it is ridiculous it’s absolutely horrendous no one should be in traffic for this long nobody no matter what kind of work it is. there should be some flow some measurements taken place in order to avoid this type of ridiculous time. I am absolutely horrified with this kind of work thr council must do something about it is absolutely wrong people work people have school pick up and what not this is absolutely horrendous no one should be able to tolerate this kind of journey it’s not on it’s not on at all. My son now doesn’t want to go tuition anymore due to the car journey. We opted in for bus but even the bus stop now have closed. The Thames water work notice says this will be for 5 weeks from 14th March.
I beg you to the council to do something because I am feeling mentally drained out from this I have another child who is 4 and by the time I go and pick her up form there baby sitter it’s time for me to pick up my son form tuition and back in this long journey again. I can’t stress how horrific this is as a single earner and a single mother it’s taken a toll on everything.
Please can I have a response on what measures will be taken or if anything otherwise I am taking the matter further to the ombudsman.
