Pedestrian light on school route turned away from view
Reported via mobile in the Damage - pole leaning / equipment detached from pole/facing the wrong direction category anonymously at 09:25, Thursday 24 March 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3412238.
Pedestrian light bend away from view on busy school route. Impossible to see green or red man to allow crossing safely with children. This is a school route with many primary and secondary schools close by. Needs to be fixed asap. ADVISABLE to get pedestrian signal to be installed at traffic light button as this seems to be a recurring problem and at this busy crossing it's vital to be able to read the signal. This was previously reported in November, reference number is FMS3119350, and was temporarily fixed, it was reported again on 27 January and temporarily fixed in February reference number FMS3269898 but now it's bent away again. It would be good if the traffic signal would be a different one that is readable for pedestrians on the button at children's eye level. It is very dangerous to cross at the moment. This seems to be re-occurring with lorries turning from Trinity road into Burntwood lane. We would be grateful if it could be fixed ASAP.
