Unacceptable

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3425422.

I refer to my report sent on Sunday and you just replied by sending me a link. This is not acceptable!!!!!! Why do you close the A40 without prior notification? Why do you close the A40 knowing it will cause traffic congestion? Why do you close the A40, knowing the skyhigh petrol prices? Why to you close the A40, knowing it will cause more pollution I need answers to all these question and also why do close the road, when I have not seen anyone working on the road? and why do you close the road completely, when 1 lane could easily be kept open at a 30mph speed limit.   • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. With regards to the road closure on A40 Westway, the weekend road closure started in November last years. As far as I am concerned that all the relevant communication were carried out between both internal and external stakeholders (including social media). The letter drop was done at least two weeks before the start date of the road closure to the local residents. There hasn’t been any report of serious congestion caused by the road closure since the works commenced.
