Traffic lights causing major pollution in front of primary school.
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 05:57, Thu 7 April 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3442794.
Since the last week or so, the traffic light timings have been changed, which are causing severe delays along Westminster Bridge Road and St Georges Road. I am very concerned as the major traffic is directly outside St Georges RC primary school, and this is causing major pollution issues and safety problems with children in the area.
The problem is the traffic light at St George’s Circus when approaching from Westminster Bridge Road is showing red, just as the previous traffic lights along Waterloo Road and Westminster Bridge Road turn green. This means that although the lights are green, traffic from both Westminster Bridge Road and Waterloo Road are unable to proceed onto St Georges Circus, as these lights are showing red.
This was not like this previously. It is causing major disruption at a junction that is already very busy. The traffic light timings need an urgent review as the pollution and congestion directly in front of a primary school is a massive concern. I am happy to provide more details as required.

I understand that for you this is non-urgent fault but for gods sake - do something. It is already one week. It's impossible to enter junction from Waterloo Rd. Every time you have green light the junction is blocked. The only way is to pass on red light. Problem is because the red light on the middle of circus is insane long. Are you waiting for someone to get killed when passing on red?
