The traffic lights confusion
Reported via mobile in the Lamp out (traffic lights) category anonymously at 19:59, Thursday 7 April 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3445134.
When I am driving on Madley road from east to west on a green light, there are often cars coming from north on the A406 which start driving south at the same time. We almost crash, but looking at the drivers’ faces, they seem confused too because they also see a green light for them too? I think there are too many traffic lights so close to each other, people can easily mistake which traffic light is for them. Today this happened for the second time in a month. It’s so dangerous, it must be looked at by professionals please.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This traffic lights problem has been looked into and we can confirm that there is a fault with these traffic lights.
