Manhole cover are rocking

The 3 manhole cover sitting right In front of the Sainbury's local (516 Commercial Road, E1 0HY) are rocking, and has been creating noises when cars are driving on them

If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.   • Hi TfL,

    This noise is getting louder as I believe the manholes are getting looser. Could you arrange a temporary fixing at the moment (like covering it by a steel plate or something similar) before a permanent fixing can be done? Thanks.

  • Hi Tfl, your message said the case will be closed after 28 days and the issue will be fixed within this timescale. It has now been a month since I reported this issue and the problem is still there. Any timeline for when the noise can be fixed please? Thanks.
