The pedestrian wait signal

Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 17:42, Saturday 30 April 2022

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3493457.

The sound that accompanies the green man signal is out of order and doesn't make the noise to let people with sight issues know it's safe to cross the road. The bleeper isn't working and as you can see in the photograph it's a crossing for blind people too.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This was investigated by our team and there are no defects, or issues at this location. The site does not have audibles but does have rotating tactile cones that are usually placed under the push button unit on the right hand side of the crossing points that turn during the green man period, this is a standard recognised method used to indicate to visually impaired users of when it is safe to cross. Alternatively, you can contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234 or by using this web form: https://tfl.gov.uk/ help-and-contact/ contact-us-about-streets-and-other-road-issues
