Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 10:42, Tuesday 10 May 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later.
TfL ref: FMS3514406.
Many people have taken to ignoring the trafficlights and crossing through the traffic.
The issues with these traffic lights are the length of time it takes to change especially given that its a route to the train station and also that sometimes the button is pressed and the Wait sign lights up but then the Wait sign will go off without the traffic lights changing, so people are left waiting to cross unless they notice and press the button again.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fault with the pedestrian wait button. We have therefore referred this to our contractors and it will be fixed within 28 days. Should you need anything else or have any questions, you may wish to contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234
Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer
State changed to: Action scheduled
