Manhole cover on The Highway is loose and exteremly noisy
Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 12:15, Monday 23 May 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3544692.
The manhole/drain cover on The Highway is loose and the clanky noise is extremely annoying as it occurs every few seconds, 24/7 every time a car goes over it, so I can neither work from home, nor sleep in peace.
There are a few loose manhole covers on The Highway, but the one I am referring to which needs to be replaced urgently is the mahole/drain cover on the lane leading towards Tower Bridge / The City, just a metre or two after the crossroad with Wapping Lane (photos attached). This is in front of the building Eluna Apartments / next to the pedestrian crossing over Wapping Lane towards BP station/The City.
I've already reported this to Tower Hamlets council, but they referred me to you. Hoping you can help us resolve this problem asap.
