The pedestrian crossing button is faulty
Reported via mobile in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 09:28, Tue 24 May 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3546810.
The pedestrian crossing buttons are faulty. Some work ok but some don’t work at all and others you push and they seem to light up red as though working and then revert back to not pressed so you can be waiting indefinitely. This is super dangerous as people end up running across 4 lanes of traffic on a crossing that should be properly regulated. It looks like this is on going issue, given how many times it has been reported previously and supposedly fixed. This issue has been on going for a few years and still no proper fix. Please could this issue be addressed properly and fixed once and for all. Many thanks!
