Faulty manhole cover
Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 14:23, Thursday 26 May 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3553827.
The manhole cover on City Road by the junction with COlebrooke Row is once again very noisy. Please could you fix it for us as it is interfering with the sleep of Duncan Terrace and COlebrooke Row residents- internal shutters and thick curtains are insufficient to block the noise? During the day it is irritating. At night it is distressing. You replaced the manhole a while ago, so it seems to me either its rubber seals may have worn away or that the split cover design just doesnt work on a major road with heavy vehicles crossing it 24 hrs a day I would be glad of some sort of timescale, in order to manage our expectations Very many thanks
