Temporary lights not clear in sun

Temporary stop lights not clear for drivers in sun. I was crossing on green for pedestrians about 13-45 and three cars in succession just missed me going through the lights on red going east on Hammersmith Road.

  • Hi, I was planning to report this problem but can see it's already been done - these lights have cause a really dangerous situation, it's an accident waiting to happen and needs to be investigated urgently.

    There have now been FOUR separate occasions where I've seen someone drive through this pedestrian crossing when the temporary lights were red (eastbound, leaving the roundabout onto Hammersmith Road). It's clear that the drivers aren't seeing the lights - I'm used to seeing people speed up to squeeze through on a yellow, but in this case they're just driving straight through as if there were no lights at all.

    I don't know if it's to do with the lights not being visible in the sun (I usually pass through this spot in the afternoon, so that's possible), or something to do with the way the temporary lights are configured relative to the normal lights (which are covered up), but whatever the cause, it needs to be fixed ASAP before someone gets hurt.
