It is apparent that TFL are removing countdown units from many bus many bus stops.

Reported via desktop in the Countdown - not working category anonymously at 16:36, Thursday 16 June 2022

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3602076.

This is a big step backwards. Why are they being removed? It is inconvenient and frustrating not to be able to check when buses are due. The provision of these units are surely part of the service. I can tell you that people I have spoken to see the removal as a disincentive to use London buses. Be aware that not everybody carries or uses a mobile phone to check bus arrival times. Are there plans to replace those that have been removed with new units? if, when will they be replaced?
